Playing needs no account. If you sign in (with Google or an email address, optional), we store your Clerk account ID, your email address, the display name you choose, your best times, achievements and the times you post to leaderboards. Display names and posted times are public on the leaderboards.
Without an account, your progress (best times and achievements) and your language choice are saved only in this browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.
To improve the game we use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to count anonymous gameplay events (for example a quiz started, won or lost) and to record anonymous sessions of how the game is played. An anonymous ID is kept in this browser so we can tell when players come back. The only text recorded is what you type into the quiz. When you are signed in, these events are linked to your account.
